Join the Sports Team at Holy Name of Jesus School
Holy Name of Jesus School remains a powerhouse in the Catholic Youth Organization league placing 3rd in Los Angeles Archdiocese wide competition in Basketball during the 2011-2012 and 2010–2011 school years. Moreover, the boys football team makes it to playoffs every year. Sports remain an excellent opportunity for students to display their talents and strengthen personal discipline and teamwork.
In addition, Holy Name of Jesus School hosts a Field and Fun Day in May in which all students grades K to 8th participate.

St. Sebastian Sports Project Partnership
The Saint Sebastian Sports Project (SSSP) provides Holy Name of Jesus School with resources critical to building quality team sports programs. In addition, SSSP holds clinics to enhance coaching skills and hosts flag football, volleyball, basketball and soccer tournaments. To expose students to college opportunities, SSSP has partnered with Loyola Marymount University to sponsor fun-packed sports days. Finally, in 2017, SSSP hosted it’s first “Leadership Academy” to help prepare outstanding eighth grade scholar-athletes for the transition to high school. After School Interscholastic Sports Academy (ASISA)
Holy Name of Jesus School participates in the ASISA sports program, which will be held at the school on Mondays and Fridays for the remainder of the year.
